Vincent Goes North is a photography program for young people from Amsterdam who want to explore their own story and creative voice — and share it with the world through powerful images.
Over the span of 12 weeks, participants will dive deep into photography, guided by experienced professionals from the creative field. Through workshops, group sessions and hands-on assignments, they’ll learn how to shape their ideas into a photo series that reflects their unique perspective.
The works are inspired by parallels between the lives of the participants and that of Vincent van Gogh — stories of searching, questioning, creating, and finding beauty in the everyday.
The program offers more than just technical skills. It’s a space to experiment, collaborate and grow — both artistically and personally. At the end of the program, the final works will be exhibited in public spaces across Amsterdam Noord and in the Van Gogh Museum.
Vincent Goes North is free to join and especially aimed at young people from Amsterdam who want to explore photography, share their story, and develop their creative voice. Sessions take place weekly in Amsterdam Noord.
